Invoices, billing details and VAT

Where invoices live, what is on them, and what to do before the next charge.

Where they are

Settings → Billing → Recent invoices lists your latest invoices; View all → opens the full Invoices list, which you can filter by status and year. Invoices that have a PDF show a PDF link in the full Invoices list (an icon on the Recent invoices card), and after each successful charge we also email a receipt with the invoice number and a download link.

Billing is only available to the workspace owner. If you pay by card through the app, Payment & invoices at the top of the Billing screen opens the Stripe billing portal.

Billing details on an invoice

PipSync has no company-name, address or VAT-id fields in Settings → Billing. The name and billing address on an invoice are the ones from checkout (a billing address is required there) and are kept with your payment details at Stripe, our payment provider.

  • Check what is on file under Payment & invoices. If something you need cannot be changed there, message us in the support chat before your next charge.
  • An invoice shows the details as they were when it was issued. Changing your details later does not rewrite an invoice that has already been issued, so do not count on a corrected copy.

Tax and VAT

Invoices show the tax that applies to your order at checkout. For questions about VAT, email support@pipsync.io with your invoice number. PipSync has no field for a customer VAT id.

Failed payments

  • Stripe retries a failed charge automatically.
  • Settings → Billing shows a red Last payment failed banner with an Update payment method button, and we email you straight away and again over the following days. The notification is not optional noise — it is the window in which you can fix the card.
  • The email links to the invoice on Stripe's own page. You can pay it there directly and complete your bank's authentication if asked — the surest way to settle it. Update payment method opens the Stripe billing portal for when the card itself has to change.
  • While a payment is outstanding, new orders are paused from the first failed payment: automatic trades, signals you confirm and orders you place by hand are all held back. An order placed by hand on the account page is refused with "New orders are paused because this workspace has no active subscription. Update your billing to trade again." Positions that are already open at your broker are not closed because of this.
  • If the payment stays outstanding, the subscription is marked unpaid and trading features stay frozen until it goes through. The banner on Settings → Billing gives a time for that freeze, but new orders are already paused from the first failed payment.

Something looks wrong on an invoice

Message us in the support chat with the invoice number as shown in the list. Do not paste card details into the chat — support never needs them.
