Risk disclosure

What you are taking on when you automate somebody else's signals.

Trading CFDs and other leveraged products is complex and carries a high risk of losing money rapidly because of leverage. Industry data indicates that 70–80% of retail trading accounts lose money when trading these products.

Consider whether you understand how leveraged trading works and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

What automation changes

Automation removes hesitation — in both directions. It executes the good setups you would have talked yourself out of, and the bad ones you would have skipped. It does not improve the underlying edge.

  • Copying a signal provider means taking on their risk decisions, at your account size.
  • A provider's published track record is not audited by PipSync and is not a prediction.
  • Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

What PipSync does and does not do

  • It routes orders to your broker and sizes them with the settings you configure. That is the whole scope.
  • It gives no investment advice and makes no recommendation about which providers to follow.
  • It never holds your funds.

Every trading decision, including which sources to trust and how much to risk, is yours.

Accepting the disclosure

Before PipSync places orders for you, you have to accept the current risk disclosure. Until you do, orders are held back and you are told so (for example "Trade held back: accept the risk disclosure"). The prompt appears, for example, when you connect a broker account, switch auto-trading on, link an account to a channel or place an order by hand, and a banner on the dashboard reminds you until you accept. Accepting only records your confirmation; it does not place or release any order. You can also open it directly at /onboarding/risk-disclosure.

To check or accept it by hand, step by step: open Settings → Trading. The card at the top shows where you stand. If it says "Risk disclosure accepted", this step is done; where your confirmation is on record the card also says on which date you confirmed it and which version. If it says "Risk disclosure not accepted yet", click Review and accept, read the text and click Understood — continue, pick your experience level and click Continue, tick the confirmation box and click Acknowledge & continue. Back on Settings → Trading the card then reads "Risk disclosure accepted". The same card, above the full list of your acknowledgements with dates and versions, is at /account/risk-disclosure.

Accepting is one of several requirements for live trading. The other is an active subscription, and accepting does not by itself guarantee that live trading is available for your workspace. Live trading is not available in sanctioned jurisdictions. If PipSync tells you that live trading is unavailable in your jurisdiction ("Trade held back: live trading unavailable in this jurisdiction") or that it is not available for this workspace, message us in the support chat.

The full statements are on the risk disclaimer, performance disclaimer and terms pages, which are authoritative.
