A message arrived but no signal was created

Where to look first, and the usual causes.

Start on Channels → Messages tab and pick the channel under Message source. It lists the channel's recent messages, fetched through your Telegram session. Click Test on a message — or paste text into Quick test at the top — to see which of instrument, direction, entry, stop-loss and take-profit PipSync finds in it.

Then open the Signals page (sidebar: Signals → Signals). That list is the final answer on whether a signal was created.

Test and Quick test use PipSync's rule-based reader. The live parser can also use AI, so a message can fail there and still become a signal. Trust the Signals page over the test.

1. The message is not a signal

Ads, "good morning" and other messages without a trade setup do not become signals. A recap or results post that repeats a full setup (instrument, direction, entry, stop-loss and take-profit) can be read as a new signal, because PipSync has no recap filter. A signal needs an instrument, a direction, an entry (or a market entry), a stop-loss and at least one take-profit. Messages such as "close half" or "move SL to break-even" are treated as updates to a trade, not as new signals.

2. Stop-loss or take-profit is missing

PipSync does not create a signal without a real stop-loss and at least one take-profit. A post that only says "BUY XAUUSD" waits for the provider to edit the missing levels in; when the edited message arrives, the signal is created. If the provider never adds them, no signal appears.

3. The signal exists but is waiting for you

Some signals are saved without being traded automatically. They sit on the Signals page with status pending (or approved, which is only a score label and does not trade), and you usually get a notification such as Signal saved for manual approval or Image signal requires manual review. The usual reasons:

  • the signal was read from a screenshot (these always wait for you);
  • one message contains several signals;
  • the message reached PipSync several minutes after it was posted, or an edit completed it long after it was first posted;
  • the AI parser rejected the message as uncertain and only a fallback reader produced a signal;
  • the channel posted unusually many signals within an hour, or automatic trading is paused platform-wide.

Open the signal, check the price and use Confirm & execute — or reject it. A channel with auto-trading off treats every signal this way.

Screenshots also need AI features enabled (Settings → AI) and a clearly readable image. Otherwise PipSync sends Image signal was not imported and creates nothing.

4. Test mode, a paused channel or a lost Telegram connection

  • Test mode. The channel shows the badge Test mode. PipSync records and scores signals but never sends them to a broker. They are listed under Test signals card in Settings → Telegram. Turn it off under Channels → Settings tab → Disable test mode.
  • Paused channel. A channel with the badge Paused is still read and its messages are recorded, so its signals still appear on the Signals page. PipSync opens no new trade from it by itself: each signal waits for you to confirm it. Trades already open from the channel keep being managed, so the provider's close, partial close and stop-loss or take-profit messages are still applied to them. Use Channels → Settings tab → Activate channel to end the pause; new signals are then handled as the channel's auto-trading setting says.
  • Telegram session ended. If you terminated the PipSync session under Settings → Devices in Telegram, or Telegram ended it, no channel delivers any more. Log in again under Settings → Telegram → Connect Telegram Account (Channels → Sources then also offers Connect with Telegram). If the session is still connected but one channel is silent, use Channels → Sources → Reconnect all channels.
  • You left the channel. PipSync only receives what your Telegram account receives. Rejoin it in Telegram.

Still nothing

If the Messages tab shows the post, the Signals page shows nothing new and none of the above fits, message us in the support chat with the channel name and the time of the message.
