Connect a Telegram channel

Log in with your own Telegram account and pick the channel — no bot to add, no admin rights needed.

PipSync reads your signal channels as your own Telegram account. You log in once with your phone number and the code Telegram sends you. There is no PipSync bot to add, no token to copy and no admin rights needed — being a member of the channel is enough.

Steps

  1. Channels → Add channel → Telegram. This opens Add Telegram Source.
  2. Phone. Pick your country and enter the phone number of your Telegram account, with area code but without a leading zero or country prefix. Click Send verification code.
  3. Verify. Enter the code Telegram sends you — it usually arrives as a message in your Telegram app, sometimes by SMS — and click Verify. If your Telegram account has a two-step verification (cloud) password, PipSync asks for it next: enter it under Cloud password and click Confirm.
  4. Channel. Pick the channel or group from the list of those your Telegram account is in (use the search box if the list is long), then click Continue.
  5. Subscribe. Review the channel and click Subscribe & activate.
  6. Test. PipSync shows the channel's last five messages and marks the ones that look like signals. This is only a quick preview, not test mode (see below). Click Done — go to Channels.

Your plan limits how many signal sources you can add. At the limit, Subscribe & activate is disabled and an upgrade card appears instead.

No code, or "all available options already used"?

Telegram limits how often it sends login codes. Request the code once, wait, and do not press Send verification code again. Requesting more codes is what triggers the block. Full steps: Telegram login: code blocked or not arriving.

Connect from Settings instead

Settings → Telegram → Connect Telegram Account does the same login (phone number, code, cloud password). Once the Telegram account card shows Connected, use Add channel in the Your Telegram channels card, or switch a group on under Browse your Telegram groups:

  1. Set Channel type to User Session. Only user-session channels receive messages, so keep it on User Session (it is preselected) — a Bot Channel never receives messages.
  2. Click Browse available channels and pick the channel.
  3. Click Add Channel.

You can switch Test mode on in the same form. If Telegram is already connected, this route does not ask you to log in again, so it is also the quick way to add a second channel.

What the login does

  • Telegram lists the login as an active session under Settings → Devices (device name "PipSync"). Leave it there: if you terminate it, PipSync can no longer read your channels and you have to log in again. Telegram can also end a session on its own, for example when the same session is used from two places at once.
  • To disconnect on purpose, use Settings → Telegram → Disconnect in PipSync.
  • If channels stop delivering, Channels → Sources → Reconnect all channels refreshes the live subscriptions. After an ended session, log in again under Settings → Telegram → Connect Telegram Account.

Then

A new channel starts with Auto-Trading inactive and test mode off. Signals are parsed and listed on the Signals page, and nothing is traded until you link a trading account and enable auto-trading (Channels → Settings tab → Auto-trade).

Run the channel in test mode for a few days: signals are parsed and shown, no orders are sent. It is the cheapest way to learn a provider's formatting quirks. Switch it on under Channels → Settings tab (pick the channel under Channel settings) → Enable test mode. Test signals are listed under Test signals card in Settings → Telegram. Use Disable test mode when you are ready.

If a message arrives but no signal appears, see A message arrived but no signal was created. No admin rights? See Do I need to be admin of the channel?.
