Getting your TradingView webhook URL

Where the URL lives, why you can copy it only once, and what to do if it leaks.

Where it is

Settings → Advanced → TradingView Alerts, then Generate webhook URL. The same section is also on Channels → Sources tab. The URL looks like:

https://YOUR_PIPSYNC_ADDRESS/api/tradingview/webhook/tv_YOUR_SECRET_KEY

Click the copy button right away: PipSync shows the full URL only once, when you generate it. It stores just a hash of the key, so afterwards you see only the beginning of the URL. If you lose it, click Regenerate to get a new one. You have one URL per workspace and user; Regenerate replaces your own.

Treat it as a credential

Anyone holding this URL can send signals into your workspace and, once TradingView auto-trading is on, trigger trades. Do not paste it into shared Pine scripts, screenshots or support threads — support never needs it.

If you suspect a leak, click Regenerate on the same screen and confirm. The old URL stops working immediately, so update the alert in TradingView with the new one. The bin button next to it (Revoke webhook URL) switches the URL off completely: alerts sent to it are rejected.

Prerequisites

  • A paid TradingView plan. Webhooks are not available on TradingView's free tier at all.
  • A PipSync plan that includes webhook integration. If yours does not, Generate webhook URL answers "TradingView webhooks require the Advanced plan." Settings → Billing shows your plan.
  • A workspace role that is allowed to edit workspace data.

Then

Put the JSON payload in the alert's Message field and the URL under Notifications → Webhook URL. See the payload reference. Every alert PipSync receives is listed under Recent alerts in the same section, and a valid one becomes a signal on the Signals page. To let alerts trade without your approval, see Auto-trading TradingView alerts.
