First: is it the nightly window?
Most brokers run a short maintenance window daily, usually around the daily rollover. Everything disconnects and reconnects on its own. If the disconnect happens at the same time every day, that is what it is — check the trade log for anything missed during it.
If it is not
- Log in with the platform directly. If MetaTrader itself cannot connect with the same three values, the problem is at the broker: account disabled, password reset required, or a server change.
- Re-check the server name. Character for character. A live login on a demo server produces the same error.
- Check for a second system on the same login. Two platforms trading one account produce trade-context errors and inconsistent state. Give PipSync its own account.
- Password changed at the broker? Then update it in the account settings here as well.
While disconnected
New signals are logged and marked as blocked rather than lost, so you can see afterwards exactly what you missed. Open positions are managed by the broker's own stops and targets — those live at the broker, not here.
