Connect a Telegram channel

Add the bot, verify the channel, and what to do when you are not an admin.

Steps

  1. Channels → Add Telegram Source. PipSync shows the bot username and a one-time verification token for this channel.
  2. Copy the token. Treat it like a password.
  3. In Telegram, open the channel → Administrators → Add Admin and add the PipSync bot. Read Messages is the only permission it needs — leave everything else off.
  4. Post the verify command in the channel, or send it to the bot directly:
/verify YOUR_TOKEN_HERE

The bot confirms and the channel shows as connected.

If you are not an admin

Plenty of paid signal groups do not let subscribers add bots. Use a relay channel:

  1. Create a private channel you own. Nobody else needs to join.
  2. Auto-forward the provider's messages into it — any Telegram client with forwarding rules works.
  3. Connect the relay channel instead. You are the admin there, so the bot goes in cleanly.

Then

Run the channel in test mode for a few days: signals are parsed and shown, no orders are sent. It is the cheapest way to learn a provider's formatting quirks.
