Connect Binance or Bybit
Create a trading-only API key, restrict it properly, and know which order types are supported.
Create the API key
- 1
Open API management at the exchange
Create a new key dedicated to PipSync. Never reuse a key that another bot already holds.
- 2
Enable trading only
Reading and Futures trading on. Withdrawals off. Internal transfer off. Use Futures (USDT-M) for signals: the gateway refuses Spot orders that carry a stop-loss or take-profit, so a Spot account does not trade from signals.
- 3
Restrict by IP if the exchange offers it
The PipSync dialog does not show the address. Ask in the support chat for the current outbound IP address to allowlist.
- 4
Paste key and secret into PipSync
Trading Accounts → Add account → Binance (Crypto) or Bybit (Crypto). Enter Account Name, Exchange Mode (Spot or Futures), API Key and API Secret; the exchange shows the secret exactly once. The Testnet box is ticked by default — untick it for a real account.
Markets and sizing
- Sizing uses the exchange's step size and minimum notional — a signal below the minimum is rejected rather than rounded up.
- Leverage and margin mode stay as configured at the exchange. PipSync does not change them.
- Funding fees on perpetuals are the exchange's, and appear in your exchange statement, not in PipSync's fee view.
Symbol names
Signals say BTCUSD, BTC/USDT or XBTUSD, and the exchange lists BTCUSDT. PipSync translates these spellings automatically (SOLUSD becomes SOLUSDT), so there is nothing to map. The market you trade is the account's Exchange Mode: Spot and Futures are different markets, and a symbol the selected market does not list is refused as an unknown symbol. To keep a channel's signals for an instrument away from the exchange, put it on the channel's Blocked symbols (Channels → your channel → Settings tab → Auto-trade panel → Signal filters).
