How PipSync works
What actually happens between a message in a channel and a filled order at your broker — and where you can intervene.
The pipeline
PipSync is a routing platform. It reads signals, decides whether and how large to trade, and forwards orders to your broker. It never holds your money.
| Stage | What happens | Where you control it |
|---|---|---|
| Ingest | A message arrives from Telegram, Discord or a TradingView webhook. | Channels |
| Parse | The parser extracts symbol, side, entry, SL and TP, and scores its own confidence. | Settings → Telegram |
| Gate | Completeness, duplicate detection and the signals held for your approval. | Channel settings |
| Size | The channel's Position Sizing turns a signal into a lot size for each target account. | Channels → Settings → Auto-trade |
| Route | The order goes to every matching broker account. | Trading Accounts |
| Manage | SL/TP updates and closes from the same channel are applied to the open position. | Trading Hub |
The completeness gate
A signal without a stop-loss is not a signal, it is a hope. PipSync refuses to open a position when required fields are missing, and shows the rejected message in the channel activity log with the reason.
- Missing symbol or direction → rejected, never guessed.
- Missing stop-loss or take-profit → refused (a Telegram signal waits for the provider to edit it in).
- Unknown symbol at your broker → rejected with the symbol PipSync tried.
- Low parser confidence → saved for your approval instead of executed.
Follow-up messages
Most providers post updates after the entry: move the stop to break-even, close half, take the second target. PipSync matches those messages back to the position they belong to and applies them.
- "SL to entry" / "move to BE" → modifies the stop on the open position.
- "TP1 hit, close half" → partial close, remainder keeps running.
- "Close now" → market close of the matched position.
- Updates that arrive after the position is already closed are logged and discarded.
One signal, several accounts
A source is linked to accounts, not to one account. The same signal can open a 0.02 lot position on your live account and a 1.0 lot position on a prop-firm challenge, because each account carries its own risk settings.
Per-account limits per plan are listed under Plans and limits.
