Getting started
Connect your first signal source and broker account, set your risk rules and place your first automated trade.
The four steps
Going live takes four steps. Most people finish in under 15 minutes — the slowest part is waiting for your broker terminal to provision.
1 — Create an account
Register, verify your email, run the onboarding wizard.
2 — Connect a signal source
Telegram, TradingView or Discord.
3 — Connect a broker
MT5 or cTrader, live or demo.
4 — Set your risk rules
Risk per trade, lot caps, max open positions.
Step 1 — Create your account
- 1
Register
Sign up with your email address and start on Free without a credit card. Free covers 1 signal source, 50 parsed signals per month and 7 days of history, but no broker account or auto-trading. Paid plans are billed at checkout.
- 2
Verify your email
Click the link in the verification mail. Until you verify, execution stays disabled — this protects accounts created with a typo'd address.
- 3
Run the onboarding wizard
It asks for your trading style and writes sensible default risk settings. You can change every one of them later under Settings → Trading.
Step 2 — Connect a signal source
A source is wherever your signals are written today. Pick the one you actually use — you can add more later.
Telegram
Read signals from a channel or group you are a member of.
TradingView
Send alerts to PipSync by webhook; each valid alert becomes a signal you review on the Signals page, or trades automatically if you opt in (Advanced plan).
Discord
Read signals from a channel in a server you have access to.
Each has its own guide: Telegram, TradingView webhook, Discord bot.
Step 3 — Connect a broker
- 1
Open Trading Accounts
In the dashboard, go to Trading Accounts and click Add Account.
- 2
Pick the platform
MetaTrader 5 and cTrader are the two main routes. Crypto goes through Binance or Bybit API keys.
- 3
Enter your credentials
For MT5: login number, password and the exact server name from your broker. Leave the endpoint blank and PipSync provisions a dedicated terminal for you.
- 4
Wait for the first sync
When the account turns green you will see balance, equity and any open positions. That is your proof the connection works.
Step 4 — Set your risk rules
Under Settings → Trading, set the four limits that decide what a signal is allowed to do to your account. Details in Risk management.
Risk per trade
Percentage of your balance a single signal may put at risk. 0.5% is a sane starting point.
Max Lots
A hard ceiling on position size regardless of what the signal says.
Max open positions
Caps total exposure when a channel fires ten signals in a row.
Your first trade
When a signal arrives, PipSync runs it through the same pipeline every time:
- Parse the message into instrument, direction, entry, stop-loss and take-profit.
- Reject it if required fields are missing — no trade without a stop-loss.
- Size the position from your risk rules and the instrument's contract spec.
- Route the order to the matching broker account.
- Log the fill and show it in Trading Hub and the trade history.
