What is stored
- Account and workspace data: profile, members, settings.
- Signals: the raw message, the parsed result and the routing decision.
- Trades: orders sent, fills, modifications and closes.
- Encrypted broker credentials, where the platform requires them, and the connection data of your signal sources (for example the Telegram login session).
- Audit and security events.
Exporting
- Your account data and the data of the workspace you are currently in: Settings → Account → Data & Account Deletion → Download my data (Download ZIP). The download is a ZIP archive:
data.jsonwith your profile, subscriptions, invoices, payments, signals, trades, execution log, audit log, notifications and more, plus the PDFs of your invoices where they can be fetched. You can download it once every 5 minutes; viewers in a workspace cannot export. - Trade history: open the Trades page (sidebar: Analytics → Trades) → Export → CSV, JSON or PDF summary — the usual route for tax and journalling. The page needs a paid plan (a Free workspace sees an upgrade notice there), and which formats you get depends on your plan; a format your plan does not include is shown together with the plan that does.
- Enterprise workspaces can also read their signals and trades through the REST API (Settings → API Keys).
Deleting the account
- Stop PipSync trading yourself first. Deleting PipSync does not close positions at your broker — nothing about your money changes, and an open position with no one watching it is worse than one you closed deliberately. Do not rely on the deletion request to stop trading: broker accounts connected under Trading Accounts are not disconnected by it, so copying can keep running during the grace period and ends at the latest when your data is anonymised (older MetaTrader 5, Interactive Brokers and Match-Trader connections are paused). Use Disable auto-trading on your channels, and disable or delete your broker accounts under Trading Accounts before you request deletion.
- Your subscription. Requesting deletion schedules your paid subscription to end at the close of the current period, so it does not renew. You cannot open Settings → Billing once the request is pending, so if you want to cancel it yourself, do it before step 4 (Settings → Billing → Cancel). Deleting the account does not refund the current period: payments are final, and mandatory statutory consumer rights are unaffected — see Refunds and cancellation.
- Export anything you want to keep.
- Settings → Account → Data & Account Deletion → Request deletion. Read the warning, type
DELETEfollowed by your email address, then press Delete my account.
What happens next
- You are signed out and cannot sign in while the request is pending. A recovery email goes to your account address with a link that cancels the deletion; it works for the 30-day grace window. Check your spam folder, and message us in the support chat if it did not arrive. After the window the deletion cannot be undone.
- Cancelling restores sign-in only: a paid subscription stays set to end, and older MetaTrader 5, Interactive Brokers and Match-Trader connections stay paused until you reconnect them. Accounts under Trading Accounts are not affected.
- At the end of the window the account is anonymised: your email is replaced by an anonymous address, profile fields are cleared, your password and 2FA secret are removed, the Telegram login sessions, Discord tokens and email access of your sources are removed, broker credentials are wiped and your broker accounts are released, signal screenshots are deleted, and your support chat data is erased. We then send a confirmation email.
- Trade records, execution logs, audit logs and invoices are not erased: they are kept for audit and financial-records retention and stay attached only to your anonymised account. An invoice keeps the billing details it was issued with, and audit entries keep technical details such as the IP address for a retention period. The retention rules are in the privacy policy under Data Retention.
Deleting a single broker account works differently: the trash icon on the account (Delete permanently) removes the account, its stored credentials and its channel links right away. Trade history stays.
Deleting a workspace
The workspace owner can schedule it under Settings → Workspace → Danger Zone → Delete workspace. A 30-day recovery window applies. Active subscriptions are not cancelled automatically — cancel them yourself.
Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling your subscription. Cancelling keeps your data and your existing setup — it changes what you can use and add, not what is stored. See How to cancel your subscription.
