Connecting Telegram fails most often because Telegram itself blocks login codes for your phone number. PipSync cannot lift that block. It happens when a code is requested several times in a row, and the message reads like "all available options for sending the code have already been used" (shown as a 429 or "too many requests" error).
What to do
- Stop requesting codes. Every extra Send verification code click makes the block longer. Close the dialog and do nothing for about 30 minutes; if the message returns, wait longer (up to a few hours).
- Request the code exactly once. Then wait. A code can take a minute to arrive.
- Look in the Telegram app, not in your SMS. The code normally arrives as a message from the official Telegram chat (the one with the blue tick) inside a Telegram app where you are already logged in, on your phone or on desktop. SMS is only a fallback and often does not arrive. Check all your Telegram devices.
- Use the newest code only and type it within a few minutes. An older code stops working when a new one is requested.
- Two-step verification. If you set a cloud password in Telegram, PipSync asks for it right after the code. That is your Telegram password, not your PipSync password.
Way out: QR sign-in
QR sign-in does not need a code. In Settings → Telegram → Connect Telegram Account, choose Use QR code (or Switch to QR-code sign-in). Open Telegram on your phone, go to Settings → Devices → Link Desktop Device and scan the QR code. If it expires, press Refresh QR Code.
Still stuck after waiting
Do not keep retrying. Message us in the support chat with the time of your last attempt and the exact error text. A team member takes it from there.
Normal setup steps are in Connect a Telegram channel.
