Connect cTrader

Authorise cTrader over OAuth, pick the right trading account and understand what differs from MetaTrader.

Authorise the connection

    Trading Accounts → Add Account → cTrader

    PipSync redirects you to the cTrader sign-in.

    Sign in with your cTrader ID

    Not the broker portal login — the cTrader ID that owns the trading accounts.

    Approve the trading scope

    cTrader shows exactly what is being granted. Approve, and you land back in PipSync.

  4. 4

    Choose the trading account

    One cTrader ID often holds several accounts. Pick the one to trade and confirm the currency shown matches it.

No password is stored. You can revoke PipSync's access at any time from your cTrader account settings, and execution stops immediately.

Differences from MetaTrader

Position modelNetting per symbol by default — a second buy adds to the existing position rather than opening a parallel one.
Volume unitsExpressed in units, converted from lots by PipSync using the symbol spec.
Partial closesSupported natively, which makes multi-target signals cleaner than on MT5.
Symbol namesUsually plain (XAUUSD, US500) with fewer broker suffixes.

If it will not connect

  • Authorisation expired — re-run the OAuth flow from the account detail page.
  • Account not listed — it belongs to a different cTrader ID, or the broker has not enabled API access on it.
  • Orders rejected — the instrument is not tradable on that account type; check it in the cTrader platform first.
