The kill switch

Stop all new execution immediately. What it does and, importantly, what it does not.

Every account has an immediate stop that blocks all new execution.

What it does

  • Takes effect immediately, before the next signal is evaluated.
  • Blocks copied signals and bots on that account.
  • Stays on until you turn it off. Nothing re-enables it automatically.

What it does not do

  • It does not close open positions. Existing trades keep their stops and targets and keep running.
  • It does not disconnect the broker or the signal source.

If you want the positions gone as well, close them yourself — at the broker if you need certainty.

When to use it

  • A provider is behaving oddly: duplicate signals, sizes that make no sense.
  • Market conditions you do not want automated exposure to.
  • Anything unexplained. It is free to switch on and free to switch off.
If you suspect your account is compromised, the kill switch is step one — before changing passwords, before opening a ticket. It is the fastest way to stop money moving.
