The limits that decide what a signal is allowed to do to your account, and sensible values to start from.
All of these live under Settings → Trading and can be overridden per account.
| Setting | What it does | Starting point |
|---|---|---|
| Risk per trade | Share of equity a single position may risk between entry and stop. | 0.5% |
| Max lot size | Hard ceiling on position size regardless of the calculation. | Whatever 1% of equity buys on your usual pair |
| Daily drawdown limit | Pauses new execution for the rest of the day when hit. | 3% |
| Max total drawdown | Pauses the account entirely until you reset it. | 10% |
| Max open positions | Caps simultaneous exposure. | 3 to 5 |
| Max positions per symbol | Stops one instrument dominating the book. | 1 |
Risk per trade plus stop distance determines the size — the full calculation, including the contract-spec traps, is in Position sizing.
Incoming signals are logged and marked as blocked, with the limit that blocked them.
Their stops and targets are still managed. A drawdown limit is not a panic close.
Dashboard alert plus whichever channels you enabled under Settings → Notifications.
The daily limit resets at your configured daily reset time. The total limit needs a manual reset — deliberately.
Every account has an immediate stop that blocks all new execution. Use it when a provider is behaving oddly or the market is doing something you do not want automated exposure to.
