Filters, keywords and thresholds

Cut the noise out of a busy channel: keyword rules, symbol allowlists, trading hours and confidence gating.

Keyword filters

Two lists per channel. Require-words must appear for a message to be considered; block-words drop it outright.

Require-lists are the most common cause of "my signals stopped arriving". If a channel goes quiet, empty the require-list first and re-test.

Symbol allowlist

Restrict a channel to the instruments you actually want. Anything outside the list is logged and skipped — useful when a provider mixes indices and crypto into a forex feed, or when your broker does not carry a symbol.

Trading hours

Limit a channel to the sessions you trust it in. Signals outside the window are recorded but not executed, so you can review afterwards whether the filter cost you anything.

  • Session windows are evaluated in the timezone you set on the channel.
  • Weekend messages are skipped for markets that are closed, regardless of the window.
  • News blackouts, when enabled, pause new entries around high-impact events.

Duplicates and re-posts

Providers repost the same setup, forward it into a second channel, or edit a message minutes later. PipSync fingerprints each signal and refuses to open a second identical position within the dedupe window.

If you deliberately want two positions from one setup — for example on two different accounts — link both accounts to the source rather than connecting the channel twice.
